Are you thinking about building a trail on your property? Are you looking for ways to volunteer in the community? Come join a trail building workshop this Saturday, July 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Hidden Valley Trailhead in the King Range National Conservation Area. Southern Humboldt’s very own Avery Love, former Nick’s Interns crew leader, will instruct participants on techniques for building sustainable trails. Participants will hike a half-mile to the project site. Bring hats, sunglasses, lunches and water and wear sturdy shoes and pants. The Bureau of Land Management will provide gloves and hand tools.

Sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management and the Lost Coast Interpretive Association. Information is available at (707) 986-5415. The King Range National Conservation Area is part of the BLM’s National Conservation Lands.  Additional information is available at www.blm.gov/ca/arcata/kingrange.
