Sanctuary Forest Radio Hour

May 30, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Please tune in to KMUD 91.1 on Thursday, May 30th at 7pm for the Sanctuary Forest quarterly radio hour. Lands Program Director Galen Doherty will be joined by Dan Ehresman from the Northcoast Regional Land Trust and Chris Larson from Lost Coast Forestlands. We’ll discuss what conservation easements are and how they work, different kinds of easements, and why they’re worth it. We’ll also discuss working forest conservation easements as a tool for keeping working forestlands in long-term sustainable production. Finally, we’ll talk about our current Van Arken Community Forest Project, and what a conservation easement will look like on that property. Please join us for an exciting and important conversation about land management, conservation and restoration, and protecting properties in perpetuity.

Listen live or stream it on the archive at www.kmud.org. There may be an opportunity for listeners to call in during the last quarter of the show.

Sanctuary Forest is a land trust whose mission is to conserve the Mattole River watershed and surrounding areas for wildlife habitat and aesthetic, spiritual and intrinsic values, in cooperation with our diverse community.
