Sanctuary Forest Radio Hour

January 31, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Please tune in to KMUD 91.1 on Thursday, January 31st, at 7:00 p.m. for the Sanctuary Forest Radio Hour. Sanctuary Forest staff members will be joined by several board members, emeritus and current, to answer the question: What is Sanctuary Forest? We’ll be talking about how we were founded, how we work to conserve land in the Mattole headwaters and surrounding areas, and how we transitioned into conserving water when the Mattole began experiencing low flow problems.

Founded 32 years ago this spring, Sanctuary Forest not only seeks to conserve land and water, but also seeks constructive solutions for landowners to live cooperatively with each other and our land and water – how might we positively affect our environment for the benefit of all?

There may be an opportunity for listeners to call in during the last quarter of the show.

Sanctuary Forest is a land trust whose mission is to conserve the Mattole River watershed and surrounding areas for wildlife habitat and aesthetic, spiritual and intrinsic values, in cooperation with our diverse community.
