October 27, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
FreeSanctuary Forest and Lost Coast Interpretive Association are teaming up again with California State Parks for the third year in a row to remove French broom and other invasive species in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park! We’ll be removing French broom (a relative of Scotch broom), as well as some eucalyptus and black acacia. Hand tools may not necessary for the smaller plants, but if you have a favorite tool, go ahead and bring it. Some hand tools and weed wrenches will be provided.
Please bring a lunch, water and gloves. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. To RSVP, please visit www.sanctuaryforest.org, Upcoming Events; call 986-1087 x 9#; or email anna@sanctuaryforest.org.
Meet at the Sanctuary Forest office at 9am on Sunday, October 27 to carpool—bring a 4-wheel-drive vehicle if possible. We will return to Whitethorn by 2pm. Rain will cancel this event.
