Pulling Together to Save Our Coast 2018
May 12, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
FreeSanctuary Forest and the Lost Coast Interpretive Association are teaming up again this year to remove broom and other invasive species in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park! Last year was a gorgeous, rewarding day at the Jones Beach trailhead – you couldn’t imagine a more idyllic place for pulling broom! We’ll be removing French broom (a relative of Scotch broom,) as well as some eucalyptus and black acacia. Hands tools may not be necessary for the small plants, but if you have a favorite tool, go ahead and bring it. Some hand tools and weed wrenches will be provided.
Please bring a lunch, water, and gloves. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. To RSVP, please visit www.sanctuaryforest.org, Upcoming Events; call 986-1087 x 9#; or email anna@sanctuaryforest.org.
Meet at the Sanctuary Forest office at 9am to carpool. Bring a 4-wheel-drive vehicle for carpooling if possible. Event is expected conclude by 3pm.
