Pulling Together to Save Our Coast

Sanctuary Forest and the Lost Coast Interpretive Association are partnering up for Pulling Together to Save Our Coast: a Take It Outside CA event on May 7, 2017.

Take It Outside CA is an annual statewide event the first weekend in May that aims to promote outdoor access to open spaces for all Californians.  It was launched in 2016 with 50 events throughout the state and over 6000 attendees.

Studies have shown that outdoor activities improve health and well-being, and that children who participate in outdoor activities are healthier and do better in school.  However, today, more children are spending less time outdoors and are getting less physical activity than ever before.

Let’s change that!

Join us in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park on May 7 for Pulling Together to Save Our Coast.  We’ll be getting outside and helping to remove invasive species at the same time.
