Tall green French broom plants with yellow flowers dominate the foreground, while in the background the ocean extends to the blue horizon.Sanctuary Forest and Friends of the Lost Coast are excited to be joining up with California State Parks to remove invasive species in the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park! We’ll be removing French broom on March 5 and April 2, and we’ll be targeting tansy ragweed on July 23. Gloves, hand tools and weed wrenches will be provided.

We’ll be meeting at the Jones Beach trailhead on Saturday, March 5 from 10am-1pm. There is limited parking, carpooling is suggested—bring a 4-wheel-drive vehicle if possible. Heavy rain will cancel this event. Please bring water and a snack if needed, dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes.
